Support Request Automation Agent — Atlassian (internal)

AI-powered change management system replacing a manual TPM/engineering workflow: conversational Rovo agent → structured change request → automated PR generation → Terraform config-as-code. Working demo delivered, architecture aligned with senior leadership, H1 roadmap scoped.

  • Built on a Forge app with a Rovo client tied to a specific Jira instance; the Forge app enables dynamic agent features surfaced in the Rovo agents dropdown.
  • Agentic clarification stage: the agent refines a user's change request by analyzing previously successful support tickets and comparing the request against the current Terraform configuration before any action is taken.
  • Orchestration layer parses a clarified request into atomic pieces and routes each to the correct system: the Jira Rovo Dev Bitbucket integration to open a PR with config-as-code changes, purpose-built agents that modify the atlassian.com/contact contact forms, a service/Camunda-table path that triages contact-form submissions into Jira Service Management, and a path that writes Java changes to the internal queue management tool support engineers use to work the ticket backlog.
